Job description

We’re currently looking for a full-time associate dentist to join our team!

About us:

We are a vibrant family dental practice in Truro, Nova Scotia, dedicated to meeting all your dental needs in one convenient location. Understanding the busy schedules of families, we strive to offer comprehensive care under one roof.

Schedule:

  • Hours: Full time hours. Monday-Thursday 9-5pm. No evenings or weekends!

Job Overview:

  • Perform thorough oral examinations and accurately diagnose dental conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, encompassing both restorative and preventive care.
  • Carry out a range of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and root canals.
  • Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and offer recommendations for preventive care.
  • Collaborate with a team of dental professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
  • Opportunity for partnership or buy-in to the practice, if interested.
  • Currently, two dentists are part of our team, and this role will replace an existing dentist.
  • Work alongside two registered dental hygienists and a dedicated treatment coordinator who supports treatment planning.
  • Utilize digital X-rays and Abeldent software for efficient practice management.
  • Join a well-established practice with 30 years of history, and a newly built office (2.5 years ago).

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD Program or successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) Equivalency Process.
  • Licensing: Registered and in good standing with provincial licensing requirements.
  • Certifications: Valid CPR certification.
