Join the Alternate Solutions Group (ASG) as a Data Science Associate and make a real difference for our clients. Launched in 2013, ASG develops innovative, technology-driven capital markets solutions, blending the agility of a FinTech startup with the strength of a major financial institution. Recognized globally, ASG offers solutions in Cross Border Payments, Dynamic Currency Conversion, Multi-currency Pre-paid Cards, and more.
You will be part of the Conversion Services team, enabling international cardholders to pay in their local currency through various channels. Your role involves optimizing data science processes, driving revenue growth, and providing insights to enhance our services.
This position requires a high-energy, analytical individual with expertise in Machine Learning and AI, proven model development and deployment skills, and the ability to translate business challenges into data science solutions. You should have a strong analytical mindset, collaborative spirit, and passion for data-driven decision-making.
Note: This role requires on-site, full-time presence at our Toronto location.
Model Development and Deployment: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Experimentation & A/B Testing: Conduct experiments, analyze results, and inform decision-making.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation and present findings clearly.
Product and Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements, stay current with industry trends.
Relationship Management: Build effective relationships with stakeholders, communicate complex concepts, and gather insights.
Postgraduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience. Master’s or Ph.D. is a plus.
At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML, Data Science, or advanced analytics.
Proficiency with modern data science tools like Pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyCaret; experience with ML pipelines is an asset.
Interest in Capital Markets and knowledge of FinTech or financial services industries.
Goal-driven, analytical, problem solver with strong communication and relationship skills.
