Job summary

MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business advisory firm in Canada, seeking an Associate to join the Corporate Finance team in Vancouver. You will contribute to divestiture, financing, due diligence and acquisition engagements, helping clients seize opportunities in a changing market.

As a trusted advisor, you will develop analyses, models and deliverables while coordinating with clients, stakeholders and the engagement team to add value and drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• CPA or CFA designation is considered an asset.
• 2+ years of professional services experience.
• Extensive experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute corporate finance engagements including researching and identifying new markets or candidates; managing merger, acquisition and divestiture processes
• Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
• Conduct detailed analysis relating to sustainability of EBITDA, quality of assets, working capital profile and potential risks and opportunities
• Build and prepare technical based analysis, projections, forecasts and models
• Identify competitive issues and performance indicators on both a macro and micro level specific to the target market
• Research and formulate market and industry trends, broad synopses and general conclusions
• Design and develop high-quality deliverables including industry updates, proposals and confidential information memorandums
• Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop
• Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
• Work collaboratively with the client engagement team

The annual salary range for this position is $87,500 - $95,000. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill set, relevant experience, and education.
