We are looking for a motivated and a highly professional candidate to join our team in Toronto.
The Associate, Business Development, amongst our Investment Services Team is to help capture new business across our multi-channel distribution platform, including High Net Worth, private wealth, family office, foundation, endowment, pension and the consultant channels.
As an Associate, Business Development, you will be the initial point of contact in introducing the company's investment strategies, products and solutions to potential clients. You will play a key role in driving the growth of our business by generating new business opportunities through a variety of outreach methods. The BD professional will prospect for new clients or additional business by networking, marketing, cold calling, emailing, establishing relationships or other means of generating interest from potential clients.
Main responsibilities:
· Research, build relationships and develop a pipeline of opportunities through outbound prospecting via phone calls, emails, social media and other means;
· Qualify inbound leads and manage the initial stages of the sales pipeline;
· Conduct research to identify potential prospects and decision-makers within targeted accounts;
· Work with Investment Services/Business Development team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives;
· Set up meetings and appointments for the Senior Business Development team with qualified leads;
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities in our CRM system;
· Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement lead-generation strategies;
· Provide feedback to help improve our products, services, and processes;
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
· Participate in the weekly sales and business development meeting
· Collaborate with other teams as needed and perform any other related tasks assigned by the immediate superior.
Required profile:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline;
· Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in business development in insurance, banking or financial industry.

· Bilingualism would be an asset (French and English).
