Job description

Temporary Full Time

Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Initiatives, this 20-month temporary full-time position (contract scheduled to end April 2, 2027) supports the Canada Life legacy migration project. It is suited for individuals new to or interested in the insurance industry, proficient in Microsoft Excel, quick learners, good with numbers, and organized with strong multi-tasking and time management skills.

What you will do:
  1. Assist the commission team subject matter expert in analyzing data via Excel, using information extracted from legacy systems. Identify patterns and missing information in high-volume data sets.
  2. Administer simple commission adjustments for various lines of products.
  3. Update or correct insurance policies on the production system.
  4. Support ad-hoc projects assigned by the leader and perform other administrative tasks as required.
What you will bring:
  1. College diploma or university degree in Business Administration or related field.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  3. Experience with mainframe or web-based applications.
  4. Quick learner with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and high accuracy.
  5. Team player with excellent communication skills.
  6. Customer service orientation, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Business knowledge of insurance is preferred.

The successful candidate will be required to work on-site 3 or more days per week.

The base salary ranges from $47,400.00 to $71,100.00 annually. This salary reflects base pay only and does not include variable compensation components such as bonuses or commissions. If selected for the next stage of recruitment, your recruiter will discuss additional details about our total rewards program.
