We’re looking for an Associate Attorney who is ready to hit the ground running, take ownership of their work, and drive cases forward from start to finish. Responsibilities

Client Support:

  • Support the partners by handling your own casework as assigned and supervised.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
  • Provide clients with clear and empathetic guidance throughout the planning process.
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure timely and efficient case progress.
  • Support elder law-related matters under the supervision of senior attorneys.

Legal Research and Drafting:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
  • Draft memoranda, pleadings, and other documents as needed to support the firm’s legal work.
Qualifications

Education: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Licensure: Active license to practice law in Oregon or Washington (or both), in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure.

Experience Required: At least three years of legal practice, particularly in estate planning or elder law.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with technology, including word processing, document storage systems, and legal research tools.
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy, especially when working with seniors or emotional clients.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Comfort with estate tax planning a bonus.

Compensation

Starting at $110,000 yearly, depending upon experience
