Job Title: Associate Account Manager – Universal Pictures Group

For a century, Universal Pictures has been known for its diverse slate of films including Jaws, E.T., Jurassic Park, and The Fast and Furious franchise, as well as critically acclaimed fan favorites like Get Out, Oppenheimer, and Promising Young Woman. The Role: The Associate Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing paid media strategies across video, search, and social platforms. This role will play a key part in the larger media team, contributing to strategy, planning, and campaign performance optimization. The Associate Account Manager will act as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring client goals are met while fostering strong relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage paid media campaigns across platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, X, Reddit, Google)
  • Develop and execute strategic video, search, and social plans that align with client objectives
  • Define campaign strategies and deliverables that exceed client expectations
  • Present campaign strategies and gain client approval on tactics
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance to ensure delivery against KPIs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated media plans
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations and communications are managed effectively
  • Build expertise in social and search marketing, establishing a reputation for innovation and efficiency
  • Stay current on industry trends, digital marketing developments, and consumer behavior to recommend improvements to the client
  • Contribute to the creation of POVs, best practices, and process documentation to support team operations

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Support Digital Planning/Buying team with planning, reporting, analysis documents, and client deliverables

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with paid social and/or search/video platforms
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale campaigns for major clients
  • Experience with ad tech and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and bid management tools (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset
  • Current Social/Search certifications across key platforms are a big asset
  • French language skills are an asset

Qualities:

  • Passion for social media and a drive to stay ahead of the curve
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, client-centric agency environment
  • Proactive problem-solver with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong agility and time management — able to pivot quickly and effectively across tight timelines and concurrent projects
  • Experience managing or mentoring coordinators, with a focus on developing their skills and supporting their professional growth
  • Genuine interest in the entertainment industry — being an avid movie-goer is a plus!
