Job summary

Purpose

Works within the Core Engineering team within Global Analytics and Financial Engineering (GAFE) globally ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Core Engineering team leads the process of delivering analytics to consumers, proving support and tools to the GAFE team, and advising on architecture and design.

What You’ll Do

• Work to support a distributed analytics library used for front-office trade pricing, e-Trading and other intraday pricing in Toronto and London.
• Triage issues intraday and routing questions to the appropriate support teams either within GAFE or with external teams.
• Liaise with support teams to manage the environment of the distributed analytics.
• Review the system architecture and proposing improvements to enhance the performance.

What You’ll Bring

• Degree or higher in computer science, engineering or other scientific disciplines.
• Understanding of tools used for distributed computation, including Kubernetes, Docker and Rancher.
• Experience with key-value stores and No-SQL databases like Redis and Cassandra
• Development experience in Python.
• Basic C++ experience would be considered useful but not required.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills and a team player able to work effectively with other teams.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Work Arrangement

This position is currently an on-site role, with the expectation that you will work at least 4 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
