The Associate Director of Latin American, Caribbean & Iberian Studies (LACIS) is responsible for overseeing strategic planning initiatives, ensuring the optimal use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources aligned with the center's strategic plan, including supervisory duties. The role also involves managing grant writing and implementing grant-funded programs via Title IV, private foundations, and other strategic partners.
Additionally, the Associate Director acts as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, providing organizational information and representing the unit's interests. This includes developing initiatives, outreach, and programming to serve diverse audiences, maintaining relationships with campus and off-campus partners, and formulating long-term program strategies, policies, and procedures to sustain program health and strategic initiatives.

Required: PhD in Latin American Studies or related research expertise.
Preferred: Experience managing budgets, developing grants, working with federal programs, developing new programs, and teaching or researching in Latin American, Caribbean & Iberian Studies. Anticipated start date near March 1, 2025.
