Kodify is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Video Editor to join a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. You will collaborate with a remote freelance and in-house team of Editors, Directors and Producers, handling 4K footage, project prep, and color workflow transitions while maintaining strict deadlines.

The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a willingness to work with adult content in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of video editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Proficient in Davinci Resolve and color workflows.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail; thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ingest and organize 4K raw footage and assets.
• Create project files for editors per post-production guidelines in Premiere Pro.
• Sync and organize footage and audio assets.
• Collaborate with Post Production Manager to meet deadlines.
• Prepare sequences for transfer to Davinci Resolve via XML; re-import edited exports.
• Assist with motion graphics and audio editing as needed.
• Quality control before/after final exports.
• Troubleshoot Premiere Pro and related software issues.
• Assist in project archiving.

YOUR ROLE:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Video Editor. This is a great opportunity for an individual with expert knowledge of video editing high value productions. The Assistant Video Editor will be collaborating with the remote freelance and in-house team of Editors, Directors and Producers in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with adult entertainment content.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ingest and organize assigned 4K raw footage and video assets.
• Create project files for a team of editors per post-production guidelines in a timely manner within various programs, including but not limited to Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Sync and organize all footage and audio assets.
• Work closely with the Post Production Manager to ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare sequences edited in Premiere for transfer to Davinci Resolve for our colorists via XML
• Import colored video back into Premiere once colored
• Assist in any editing capacity as needed, including but not limited to motion graphics work and audio editing.
• Collaborate with Post Production Manager for special projects and to improve departmental workflows.
• Quality control check before and after final exports are completed.
• Troubleshoot technical issues within Premiere Pro and other various softwares.
• Export finalized projects according to specs.
• Assist in project archiving preparation

• At least 3 years of experience video editing within Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Working knowledge of Davinci Resolve
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Used to working in a fast paced environment.
• Team player
• Fast internet connection at home mandatory
