Job description

The AVP will shape IT strategy and vision for GF Financial Risk Management GF Audit and related units. In charge of developing and implementing global technology strategies. Serves as the primary point of contact for technology services. Lead and manage Technology application integrations and business solution delivery coordinate infrastructure projects ensure clear communication and govern projects. Lead Technology Operations to ensure system solutions meet business and functional SLAs. Support information risk management and data protection programs monitoring security effectiveness and supporting collaborators and senior leaders with management analytics & automation. Manage vendor relationships and performance of service accountabilities.

Responsibilities :

Individual Accountabilities :

Direct the function with thought leadership develops and provides authoritative advice related to new and innovative solutions

Develop a service oriented team and culture across GFT

Contribute to meeting business goals

Operate within budget targets

Oversee all IS roles services budgets and savings within GFT

Implement IS vision and operating model within GFT

Manage the delivery of services to associated SLAs that enable the achievement of GF business unit goals globally

Manage the relative technology spend ratio between Build and Run

Support compliance to the Group Functions Information Risk Management posture for GF

Complete talent strategy and develop IT professionals

Key Shared Accountabilities :

Bringing to bear technology to optimize efficiencies and standardized business processes.

In conjunction with the Architecture Office develop appropriate application architecture standards for Global Risk and GF Audit and enforce adherence.

Timely and efficient deployment of business applications

Vendor management strategy and with BUs and Procurement.

Active participation and input into appropriate Business Continuity Planning Disaster Recovery Information Risk and Security globally for GFT.

Improve GFTs budget by lowering costs and enhancing efficiencies through process improvements. Plan staffing and develop senior staff in Toronto Waterloo India and Manila.

With a focus on key vendors leverage global practices to manage GFT vendor relationships in coordination with Procurement and the Category Owners and Managers.

Qualifications :

BS / BA or equivalent experience in Computer Science Computer Information Systems Business or related field.

At least 57 years of increasing responsibility and experience in managing systems initiatives for financial or product risk business partners and / or audit business partners

Effective collaboration with collaborators customers partners and team members at all organization levels

Experience in defining and implementing Safe Agile Continuous Delivery framework or similar framework to effectively complete project delivery

Direct experience supporting operational teams and service management to achieve operational SLAs

Experience in designing and building domain specific systems with an ability to complete rapid prototyping or proof of concept pilots using AI or other emerging technologies

Understanding of key industry control frameworks such as COSO COBIT etc.

Broad knowledge and understanding of systems architecture infrastructure security and applications

Ability to interpret and understand Technology Risk policies and standards

Strong technical understanding of enterprise computing solutions including cloud hosting SaaS models and oversight responsibilities

Demonstrate proactive business judgment and decisionmaking skills to consistently provide sound and effective business decisions

Understanding of Internal Audit practices and processes

Able to work quickly and effectively under pressure and to efficiently handle multiple priorities simultaneously

Salary range is expected to be between

123400.00 CAD $229300.00 CAD
