Job description

Nurse Clinician

In addition to duties as an assistant head nurse or assistant to the immediate superior, the nurse clinician develops, implements, evaluates, and revises clinical tools and healthcare quality assessment tools.

Education :

• Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q.

The candidate will be selected according to the local collective labor agreement (Letter of Agreement number 2).

Language :

• Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.

Other :

• Includes on-call periods for current services;
• This position involves extended role functions.

• Remoteness premium depending on community and family status, ranging from $10,066 to $20,943 annually.

ABOUT US

The Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay provides health and social services in the Eeyou Istchee region, a remote area in northern Quebec comprising nine Cree communities with a population of nearly 18,000.

Services include front-line care in local community health centers and secondary care through the regional hospital in Chisasibi. When necessary, patients are transported to institutions affiliated with McGill University's Réseau Universitaire Intégré de Santé (RUIS).
