Job summary

London Drugs is seeking an Assistant TECH Sales Manager to support the TECH division’s daily operations and profitability. You will help manage Photo Electronics, Computer, TECH Services, and Audio Video Systems areas while guiding teams and improving selling skills.

You will monitor product knowledge, assist in inventory control, and stay current with new products and market trends to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the TECH Department’s software and support systems.
• Knowledge of desktop PCs and Windows-based operating systems.
• Thorough understanding of TECH products and services in Photo Electronics, PhotoLab, Audio Video, and Computer categories.
• Good working knowledge of management workshops and leadership training.
• Strong merchandising knowledge.
• Ongoing technical learning through seminars and product sessions.

Responsibilities

• Support monitoring and control of the financial aspect of the TECH area to ensure maximum profitability.
• Assist in managing inventory to meet TECH areas and customer requirements, maintaining inventory control.
• Hold the TECH department teams accountable to maximize sales events and productivity.
• Set daily goals regarding sales, attachments, and tasks, and follow up with Senior Management and team members.
• Keep up to date on new products, services, and industry technologies across cameras, mobile, PCs, laptops, tablets, TECH Services, TVs.
• Shop the competition regularly and stay informed on competitors’ ads and strategies.
• Demonstrate leadership and manage all team members.
• Support organizational initiatives and develop selling skills in employees.

Assistant TECH Sales Manager

The Assistant TECH Sales Manager is a developmental position within the TECH division for individuals who exhibit the ability to progress to the TECH Sales Manager role. The role is responsible for supporting the financial objectives and daily operations of the TECH business, including Photo Electronics, Computer, TECH Services, and Audio Video Systems departments.

Education & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of the TECH Department’s operational software and support systems.
• Knowledge of desktop PCs and Windows‑based operating systems.
• Thorough understanding of all TECH products and services in the Photo Electronics, PhotoLab, Audio Video Systems, and Computer categories.
• Good working knowledge of Franklin Covey workshops such as The 7 Habits for managers and Leadership: Great Leaders, Great Teams, Great results.
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of merchandising.
• Ongoing technical learning through seminars, product sessions, or other methods to improve general skills and expertise.

Duties, Responsibilities, & Tasks

• Keep totally up to date on competitors’ ads, sales, and service strategies; shop the competition regularly.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and manage all team members.
• Support all organizational initiatives.
• Focus on developing professional, effective selling skills in all employees.

Working Hours & Schedule

Employees will be scheduled up to 40 hours per week and must be available for a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday, for day and evening shifts. The position may require transfer between stores or other locations as needed.
