Fueling Brains in Calgary is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join the Senior Preschool team. You will work with the educators to deliver engaging activities and routines that build confidence and independence in children.

You’ll support planned learning experiences, assist with routines, and observe children, sharing observations with the team. This position emphasizes safety, warmth, and collaborative relationships with families.

Qualifications

• Alberta ECE certification (ECE Level 2 or 3 preferred).
• Experience with preschool-aged children in an early learning environment is preferred.
• Understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate learning.

OVERVIEW:

You know how much difference a supportive educator can make. At Fueling Brains Academies, you’ll help preschoolers build confidence, independence and the skills they’ll carry into kindergarten while working alongside a collaborative teaching team.

We’re looking for an Assistant Teacher to join our Senior Preschool team at West 85th. You’ll work closely with the teaching team to create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children can learn, explore and grow.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Support the teaching team with planned learning experiences, classroom activities and daily routines.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Alberta Early Childhood Educator certification - preferably ECE Level 2 or 3.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in an early learning environment is preferred.
• An understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate learning.
• A warm, patient and responsive approach to working with children.
• The ability to follow established learning plans, routines and safety procedures while taking initiative when support is needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and fellow educators.

A vulnerable sector check and Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR are required for the role. You’ll also need to be comfortable actively participating in indoor and outdoor activities with children throughout the day.
