Job summary

Peak Construction Group is looking for an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in managing day-to-day construction activities on large-scale industrial and commercial projects in Ontario. This role offers learning opportunities, mentorship, and growth toward a fully independent Superintendent position.

Based in Ontario with a 10 days on/4 days off schedule, the position requires coordinating trades, enforcing safety, and ensuring work aligns with drawings, specifications,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years progressive construction experience in foreperson/lead hand/supervisor role.
• Experience on industrial or commercial construction projects.
• Diploma in construction management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site operations and construction activities with the Superintendent.
• Enforce site safety protocols, identify hazards, and address unsafe practices.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to keep progress per the schedule.
• Monitor work areas for quality, progress, and compliance with drawings/specs.
• Assist with short-term scheduling and lookahead planning.
