Construction Demathieu & Bard (CDB) Inc. specializes in major infrastructure construction and rehabilitation, known for innovative and complex methodologies. As the general contractor, construction manager, and project manager, CDB delivers challenging projects such as bridges, dams, tunnels, and viaducts.

Overview

This full-time position is for CDB's joint venture (Leaside Valley Builders) with EBC on the Don Valley Crossings project, expected to last four years (completion: September 2028).

Work is in East York at 30 Commercial Road, with site visits in the Don Valley and occasional visits to CDB's head office in Peterborough. A driver's license and personal vehicle are required.

Work hours are generally 40-50 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

Job Summary

Reporting to the project manager, the assistant superintendent provides on-site coordination, manages subcontractors, materials, and equipment, and ensures work proceeds on schedule, within budget, with safety and quality standards maintained.

Openness to mobility for future projects outside the GTA is an asset.

  • 5-10 years in the construction industry

Certifications / Licenses

  • Current Driver's License

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience managing site operations on dam/hydraulic/bridge projects
