GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Assistant Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position, focusing on guest experience, technical skills, and product knowledge. Mentored by an Elite or Master Stylist for the first 3 months, the role involves supporting and beginning to service guests independently in months 4-6.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing exceptional guest service and supporting store sales goals
• Assisting mentor Stylists in achieving sales and productivity targets, including product recommendations, service execution, and retail sales
• Performing hair services post-month three, such as cuts, color, styling, treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing
• Driving sales through product demonstrations and supporting in-store events
• Staying informed on industry trends, products, and services
• Maintaining consistent attendance

People

• Building guest relationships through consultations and recommendations
• Serving all guests efficiently under mentorship
• Collaborating with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience
• Fostering professional relationships with peers and brand partners
• Promoting the guest loyalty program

Process

• Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Following sanitation and infection control protocols
• Using booking systems and maintaining store standards
• Communicating supply needs and attending training sessions
• Adhering to dress code and loss prevention practices
• Executing operational tasks as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Cosmetology license

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
