Assistant Stylist (Trainee Dog Groomer) – Carlisle – 39 Hours

Who are we?

We’re Pets at Home – if you love pets, you might already know about our Pet Care Centres, which include Pets Grooming salons and Vets for Pets practices around the UK.

What’s the role?

Our Assistant Stylists are crucial to the success of our Pets Grooming salons. You'll deliver the highest standard of pet care, demonstrating a basic understanding of grooming techniques, including handling, equipment use, and pre-grooming prep.

We provide training, skills, and knowledge to help you deliver excellent service, aligned with our goal of being the 'Best Pet Care Business in the World'. Who are we looking for?

• People passionate about delivering great service.
• Flexible workers, able to work a shift pattern across 6 days a week (we are closed on Sundays). The minimum contract is 39 hours, but additional hours may be required.
• Experience working with or handling dogs in a professional grooming or pet care setting is desirable but not essential (note: bathing and prepping your own dog does not count as professional experience). Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Experience in a target-driven environment is a plus, but not mandatory.
