Assistant Store Operations Manager - Eataly Sherway Gardens

The Assistant Store Operations Manager supports Eataly’s grocery, fresh counters, and quick service restaurants (QSR) operations. This role reports to the Store Operations Manager and assists in managing Retail/QSR Leads and hourly Associates.
JOB OVERVIEW
- Assist in overseeing retail and QSR operations to maximize profitability while maintaining the company's standards and guest experience
- Support the Store Operations Manager in building and leading a high-performing team through hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, and developing staff
- Collaborate to optimize scheduling, minimize labor costs, and maximize sales
- Support strategies related to pricing, merchandising, new products, and promotions to increase efficiency and sales
- Ensure consistent, high-quality service to all guests
- Assist in merchandise management, product selection, and inventory planning
- Manage food and beverage needs, including requisitions and order checks
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in operations and guest service
- Prepare weekly updates and collaborate across departments to meet store goals
- Organize inventory and optimize warehouse space
- Monitor inventory levels, prevent discrepancies, and troubleshoot errors
- Process invoices and manage inventory movements
- Support physical and cycle counts of inventory
- Coordinate with vendors and departments for receiving and inventory accuracy
- Handle incident documentation and resolution for employees and guests
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced retail or QSR environment
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and team-building skills
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and business skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail POS systems
- Experience with Italian products, wine, and coffee, including manual espresso machines
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Availability to work onsite with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mobility to stand, walk, bend, and squat for up to 8 hours
- Ability to operate equipment such as espresso machines, blenders, juicers, pasta machines, and cash registers
