Job Summary:
As the Assistant Manager, you will recruit, coordinate, motivate, and lead a team at our Whistler North Face store.
Service is the foundation of Vail Resorts, and our retail employees exemplify this experience. You will provide high-end guest service, support store operations, and be a knowledgeable representative of our brand and culture, assisting guests with inquiries and offering premium products.
Job Specifications:
- Starting Wage: $52,000 - $54,000
- Employment Type: Year-round
- Shift Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead daily store operations, monitor performance and budget, handle scheduling and payroll; act as manager-on-duty when necessary
- Maintain store records on performance, sales, inventory, and equipment rentals
- Hire and train staff on POS, product knowledge, guest service, sales, and loss prevention
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, recognition, or corrective action
- Stay updated on products, respond promptly to guest inquiries, and handle feedback
- Participate in leadership forums for feedback and improvement
- Perform other duties, including visual merchandising and special projects
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years retail sales experience, with at least 1 year in leadership roles
- Skills in workload management, decision-making, talent assessment, training, and conflict resolution
- Strong retail presentation skills
- Ability to delegate and communicate effectively
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator
- Excellent guest service skills in person, phone, and written communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends
- Fluency in English required
