Job summary

JD Sports Canada is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Pickering location. You will lead daily operations, coach a sales team, and ensure an outstanding customer experience while driving sales and store performance.

The role requires at least 2 years of retail management, a passion for streetwear and sneakers, and the ability to manage schedules, inventory, and staff development in a fast‑paced omni‑channel environment. Must be flexible evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail management experience.
• Passion for streetwear and sneaker culture.
• Experience supervising, training and coaching sales associates.
• Confident engaging customers to deliver elevated experience.
• Strong cognitive and mathematical skills, including problem analysis and financial analysis.
• Resourceful and versatile in a rapidly changing omni-channel retail environment.
• High ethics, values, integrity, and trust.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the team delivers an excellent customer experience through coaching and motivation while driving sales.
• Maintain product knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction and upsell opportunities.
• Train and grow a team focused on delivering outstanding experiences to the community.
• Manage sales, customer experience, merchandising, and store operations to meet KPIs.
• Collaborate with store leadership to support initiatives and growth.
