Job summary

Lindt Canada in Masonville is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily shop operations and sales initiatives. You will mentor staff, manage inventory, and uphold excellent customer service while meeting targets.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education
• Minimum of five years of experience in retail sales, including management or supervisory experience
• Experience in inventory control and order management
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail management role with 2 to 5 years of overall retail experience
• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant industry preferred
• Knowledge of barista work and gelato or ice cream products an asset
• Previous merchandising or visual presentation experience
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer proficiency in MS Office
• Demonstrated ability to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service
• Passion for chocolate

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of the daily operations of the Lindt Chocolate Shop
• Support the generation and growth of corporate sales
• Uphold exemplary customer service by modeling standards
• Monitor sales performance and labour requirements daily to maximize store profitability
• Assist with recruitment activities including interviewing and hiring Retail Sales Associates
• Supervise store employees to maximize customer service, sales, and profitability
• Support training on sales techniques and product knowledge
• Order merchandise and supplies with focus on inventory management and loss prevention
• Reconcile daily cash with sales receipts and complete daily paperwork
• Develop knowledge of products and sales data to achieve targets while controlling expenses
• Support ongoing performance management including employee reviews
• Maintain store merchandising presentation in line with company standards
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food and product safety
• Manage cash handling, inventory ordering, and related retail administrative duties

We are looking for an enthusiastic and keen individual to fill the role of Assistant Store Manager for our Lindt Chocolate Shop in Masonville. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills and a passion for sales and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of the daily operations of the Lindt Chocolate Shop
• Support the generation and growth of corporate sales

• Monitor sales performance and labour requirements daily to maximize store profitability without compromising customer service
• Assist with recruitment activities including interviewing and hiring Retail Sales Associates
• Supervise store employees to maximize customer service, sales, and profitability
• Support training on sales techniques and product knowledge
• Order merchandise and supplies in a timely manner with a focus on inventory management and loss prevention
• Reconcile daily cash with sales receipts and complete daily paperwork, payroll, accounting, and store administration tasks
• Develop and apply in-depth knowledge of products and sales data to achieve sales targets while controlling expenses
• Support ongoing performance management, including assisting with employee performance reviews
• Maintain store merchandising presentation in line with company standards
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness and food and product safety
• Manage cash handling, inventory ordering, and related retail administrative duties

Requirements and Qualifications

Rewards Package:

The standard hiring range for this role is $47-$60K CAD per annum with a 10% performance-based bonus. The final agreement uponsalarymay vary based on market location and factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
