Overview
Our retail Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is vital to delivering a distinctive shopping experience. The ASM is primarily responsible for working collaboratively with the SM and company management to manage, maintain, and supervise day-to-day retail operations at the store location.
Responsibilities
- Support for Sales Associates:
- Motivate and inspire team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking.
- Support SM and team members, providing positive and constructive feedback for professional growth.
- Ensure team understanding of work procedures and policies.
- Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Be accessible and responsive to team questions, suggestions, and concerns; help resolve conflicts.
- Lead by example and work with staff to handle high-volume store circumstances.
- Sales and Customer Service:
- Use customer and team feedback to improve the shopping experience.
- Monitor store and employee sales daily for performance optimization.
- Daily Store Operations:
- Maintain compliance with all regulations and organize reporting and record-keeping.
- Assist with inventory, sales, and compliance audits.
- Perform daily opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure the sales floor is stocked.
- Coordinate inventory audits and reconciliations.
- Log and dispose of expired/damaged products per regulations.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and ensure compliance with invoices.
- Communicate daily via email and logs.
- Comply with HR policies, including confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
Qualifications
- CannSell license from AGCO.
- Clean criminal background check.
- 4-5+ years retail management experience.
- Ability to obtain Cannabis Retail Manager License from AGCO within the first month.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in a unionized environment.
- Knowledge of Cannabis plants, strains, and regulations.
- Achievement-oriented, organized, flexible, empathetic, and detail-oriented.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations.
