Overview

Our retail Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is vital to delivering a distinctive shopping experience. The ASM is primarily responsible for working collaboratively with the SM and company management to manage, maintain, and supervise day-to-day retail operations at the store location.

Responsibilities
  1. Support for Sales Associates:
    • Motivate and inspire team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking.
    • Support SM and team members, providing positive and constructive feedback for professional growth.
    • Ensure team understanding of work procedures and policies.
    • Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
    • Be accessible and responsive to team questions, suggestions, and concerns; help resolve conflicts.
    • Lead by example and work with staff to handle high-volume store circumstances.
  2. Sales and Customer Service:
    • Use customer and team feedback to improve the shopping experience.
    • Monitor store and employee sales daily for performance optimization.
  3. Daily Store Operations:
    • Maintain compliance with all regulations and organize reporting and record-keeping.
    • Assist with inventory, sales, and compliance audits.
    • Perform daily opening and closing procedures.
    • Ensure the sales floor is stocked.
    • Coordinate inventory audits and reconciliations.
    • Log and dispose of expired/damaged products per regulations.
    • Assist with receiving deliveries and ensure compliance with invoices.
    • Communicate daily via email and logs.
    • Comply with HR policies, including confidentiality.
    • Maintain a clean and organized environment.
Qualifications
  1. CannSell license from AGCO.
  2. Clean criminal background check.
  3. 4-5+ years retail management experience.
  4. Ability to obtain Cannabis Retail Manager License from AGCO within the first month.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  6. Experience in a unionized environment.
  7. Knowledge of Cannabis plants, strains, and regulations.
  8. Achievement-oriented, organized, flexible, empathetic, and detail-oriented.
  9. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  10. Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations.
