Why this role is important?

SUMMARY:

This role involves assisting the Front Store Manager (FSM) in managing the store's human, physical, and financial resources to achieve store objectives, primarily by improving product flow from the backroom to the sales floor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

OPERATIONS:

  • Maintain Store Standards to optimize customer experience, increase customer traffic, and positively impact profitability.
  • Collaborate with Management Team to ensure Store Standards are consistently upheld, including in the backroom.
  • Assist in managing labor scheduling alongside the FSM, utilizing Workforce Management (WFM) tools to maximize productivity.
  • Ensure staffing levels are sufficient for effective store operations.

HUMAN RESOURCES:

  • Ensure compliance with Human Resources Standards.
  • Assist with hiring processes in partnership with the FSM for all departments except Pharmacy.
  • Maintain wage administration within company guidelines.
  • Promote Blue Culture, engagement, and motivate staff by embodying Core Values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in inventory management planning and preparation.
  • Ability to use judgment to control expenses effectively.
  • Provide effective leadership, mentorship, and staff development.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize activities quickly in response to changing initiatives.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous retail management experience.
  • Proven ability to drive business success by leading by example and supporting corporate programs.
  • Effective collaboration with management teams.
  • Superior interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
