Job Title: Acting Assistant Store Manager

Location: Halifax Shopping Centre

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join as an Acting Assistant Store Manager at our new Lindt Chocolate Shop. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and expertise in merchandising.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing daily operations of the Lindt Chocolate Shop
  • Drive corporate sales and customer engagement
  • Maintain high standards of customer service by modeling exemplary behavior and establishing guidelines
  • Monitor sales, labor, and inventory issues daily to maximize profitability without compromising service quality
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of retail staff
  • Supervise store employees to optimize customer service, sales, and profit
  • Train staff on sales techniques and product knowledge
  • Manage merchandise ordering, inventory, and loss prevention
  • Handle daily cash reconciliation, paperwork, payroll, and administrative duties
  • Develop product knowledge and sales strategies to meet goals and control expenses
  • Support performance management and employee reviews
  • Ensure store presentation aligns with company standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Oversee cash handling and inventory management
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education
  • 1-2 years retail management experience, with 2-5 years retail experience overall
  • Experience in hospitality or restaurant industries preferred
  • Background in merchandising or presentation roles
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Proven track record of exceeding customer expectations
  • Sales talent and enthusiasm for chocolate
