Role Overview

Reports to : Store Manager

Summary : The Assistant Manager shares responsibility for the store's overall performance, supporting sales, staff development, store appearance, and expense control.

Responsibilities

  • Generate sales and profit, minimize losses, and maintain store visual standards.
  • Implement strategies to meet and exceed business goals.
  • Maintain high customer service standards.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Represent the Tommy Hilfiger image professionally.
  • Oversee store productivity, staffing, and inventory results.
  • Manage store activities in the absence of the GM / SM or Assistant Manager.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Operational Duties

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safety and security within the store.
  • Identify and resolve problems proactively.
  • Control expenses, including payroll.
  • Attend management meetings as needed.
  • Follow inventory and merchandising protocols.
  • Ensure the store has necessary tools and resources.
  • Oversee store opening and closing procedures.
  • Leadership

  • Assist in recruiting and hiring qualified sales associates.
  • Develop staff in product knowledge, customer service, and sales skills.
  • Motivate and support team members to achieve goals.
  • Handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Lead by example and participate in meetings.

  • Supervise department performance and visual standards.
  • Implement merchandising directives effectively.
  • Analyze sales data to optimize merchandise mix.
