Job description

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations, driving sales, and maintaining a positive customer experience. This role plays a key part in staff management, customer service, and operational efficiency, stepping in to lead the store in the absence of the Store Manager. The Assistant Store Manager also provides training and guidance to team members, ensuring they meet performance expectations and uphold brand standards.

Not to mention, they need to be an amazing human being, and to champion the store and company’s values and goals in connecting our customers with the shoes of their dreams!

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all store operations, including scheduling, sales tracking, and inventory management.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, coaching staff on customer service and sales techniques to meet store goals.
• Handle escalated customer inquiries and concerns, providing solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
• Support training efforts, ensuring all team members are knowledgeable about products and operational procedures.
• Step in as the acting Store Manager when the Store Manager is unavailable, ensuring consistent leadership and smooth operations.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and visual merchandising standards.
• Assist the Store Manager with projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Fluevogologist must-haves:

• Basic computer and technology skills (Gmail, iOS, internal POS software)
• Minimum of 1-3 years sales experience
• Positivity, creativity, and a willingness to learn
• A real understanding and eagerness to foster community and build trusting relationships
• Physically able to perform all in-store tasks such as regularly lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling and crawling around the floor, climbing ladders and stairs, and standing for up to eight hours.
