Overview
Our retail Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is vital to delivering a distinctive shopping experience. The ASM is primarily responsible for working collaboratively with the SM and company management to manage, maintain, and supervise day-to-day retail operations at the store location.
Responsibilities
Sales Associate Support:
- Motivate and inspire team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking.
- Support SM and team members by providing positive and constructive feedback for professional growth.
- Assist SM and team members with work procedures and policies to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Follow written SOPs and adapt to policy or regulation changes, ensuring team compliance.
- Be accessible and responsive to team questions, suggestions, and concerns; help resolve conflicts.
- Lead by example and work with staff to handle circumstances in a high-volume retail environment.
Sales and Customer Service:
- Utilize customer and team feedback to implement improvements in the customer experience.
- Track daily employee and store sales to ensure performance targets are met.
Daily Store Operations:
- Ensure store compliance with all regulations and organize required reporting and documentation.
- Assist with inventory, sales, and compliance audits.
- Perform daily opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain adequate stock levels on the sales floor.
- Coordinate inventory audits and reconciliations with management.
- Log and dispose of expired, damaged, or returned products per regulations.
- Assist with receiving and verifying deliveries for compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain daily communication via email and logs with team members.
- Comply with HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
Qualifications
- CannSell license from AGCO.
- Clean criminal background check.
- 4-5+ years of retail management experience.
- Ability to obtain Cannabis Retail Manager License from AGCO within the first month.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience managing in a unionized environment.
- Knowledge of cannabis plants, strains, and regulations set by AGCO.
- Understanding of local and state laws pertaining to retail cannabis.
- Achievement-oriented, organized, flexible, and empathetic.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations.
