Job summary

Dollarama in Wasaga Beach, Ontario is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in guiding daily retail operations, driving sales, and ensuring outstanding customer experiences. You will stand in as Manager on Duty when needed and help manage staff, merchandising, and store processes.

The role requires at least two years in retail and supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
