Job summary

Kal Tire is opening a new Vernon, BC location and is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, coach the team, and drive safety, service and results. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to keep things running smoothly while building a strong, motivated team.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (retail or service environment preferred).
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities with accountability.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building with team and customers.
  • Organized with ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to lift 30–50 lbs as part of regular duties.
  • Committed to maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Lead and coach team members, including training, scheduling, and performance support.
  • Set expectations on the floor and reinforce safe, consistent work practices.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing team members.
  • Manage inventory, cash handling, and basic financial reporting.
  • Support execution of store plans, targets, and operational priorities.
  • Step in at the front counter as needed to support customer service.
  • Handle issues on the go, using sound judgment and a practical approach.

Assistant Store Manager

As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll support store operations, lead the team on the floor, and help drive performance—safety, service, and results. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to keep things running smoothly, while building a strong, motivated team. Responsibilities
  • Support daily store operations, ensuring safety, service quality, and efficiency

Requirements

  • Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with both team and customers
  • Organized and able to manage competing priorities
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Salary: $58,489 – $61,585 per year, based on experience
