Job summary

Kal Tire Mining Group in Courtenay, BC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, coach the team, and drive safety, service and results on the floor.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to build a strong, motivated team, manage inventory and basic financials, and help deliver a superb customer experience while growing your career within a Canadian tire and service leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.

• Ability to balance hands-on work with team leadership.

Assistant Store Manager

If you’re someone who leads by example, takes ownership of the day-to-day, and enjoys developing people, this role puts you right in the middle of the action. As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll support store operations, lead the team on the floor, and help drive performance safety, service, and results. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to keep things running smoothly, while building a strong, motivated team. Responsibilities

Requirements

• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (retail or service environment preferred)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, support, and hold people accountable
• Comfortable balancing hands‑on work with team leadership
• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with both team and customers
• Organized and able to manage competing priorities
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs as part of regular duties
• Committed to maintaining a safe work environment
