The Role:
Our Retail team is looking for an Assistant Store Manager at our upcoming Midtown Plaza location in Saskatoon, SK. Join our growing team at JD Sports Canada. Your main responsibilities include delivering excellent customer experiences, fostering team growth, and ensuring operational excellence through managerial tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and employee performance evaluation.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure the team delivers excellent customer service by coaching, motivating, and driving sales.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction through product knowledge.
- Train and develop a team focused on delivering outstanding experiences to our community.
- Achieve business results and key KPIs.
- Meet sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectations.
- Act as a liaison between customers, sales associates, and store leadership.
- Learn and share expertise on products and trends to meet customer needs.
- Stay informed about current and upcoming products and trends.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Support key initiatives in partnership with the Store Manager.
- Proactively grow the business through community outreach.
- Prioritize culture, personal growth, and self-awareness in all actions.
- Provide exceptional experiences consistently, sharing our products with the community.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about streetwear and sneaker culture.
- Experience supervising, training, and coaching sales associates.
- Confident in engaging customers to deliver elevated experiences.
- Motivated by enthusiasm for interacting with customers and athletic products.
- Strong problem analysis, decision-making, and financial skills.
- Resourceful and adaptable in a rapidly changing retail environment.
- High ethics, integrity, and trustworthiness.
