Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Canada, Ontario, London to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, drive sales, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role acts as Manager on Duty in the manager’s absence and leads a team with a focus on performance and development.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and decision-making capabilities, with a minimum of two years in retail and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Help with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
