Job Details

We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Store Manager to support our Store Manager, maintain store presentation, and operate a forklift during shipments. Ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced grocery environment and enjoy seeing immediate results.

• Open and close the store; maintain stocked produce, meat, and grocery areas.
• Unload pallets with a forklift; training and certification provided if needed.
• Resolve customer issues and motivate staff to deliver excellent service.
• Monitor sales, waste, and labor; suggest pricing or promotional adjustments.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure shelves are stocked and costs are minimized.
• Enforce food safety and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in grocery, big-box, or warehouse retail (lead hand or supervisor level).
• Ability and willingness to operate a forklift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort with sales data and POS reports.
• Clear communication skills; additional languages (Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Vietnamese) preferred.
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
