Job summary

The Kenaidan Murphy Joint Venture (KMJV) is seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor for a major rail/transit infrastructure project in the Niagara/Hamilton region. You will oversee daily construction operations, coordinate crews, and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence across civil, structural and rail scopes.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma or degree in construction management or engineering, 5–10+ years supervising infrastructure projects, with rail/transit experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10+ years progressive site supervision on infrastructure or transit projects.
• Rail/transit project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and drawings.
• Proven leadership and subcontractor management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site operations across multiple work fronts.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, forepersons, and crews.
• Enforce safety culture and OHSA/rail authority compliance.
• Monitor progress and resolve scheduling/quality issues.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and engineers to resolve field issues.
• Plan site logistics and manage materials/equipment in rail corridors.
• Maintain daily logs and documentation.
• Participate in coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Support transition from development to active construction.
