Job summary

ProStaff Solutions CA is seeking an Assistant Site Superintendent to provide oversight and direction for on-site construction projects. The role emphasizes planning, organizing, controlling, and safety as core pillars while ensuring deadlines and quality benchmarks are met.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of high-rise residential experience, familiarity with the Ontario Building Code and OHSA regulations, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in a related discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years of high-rise residential construction experience.
• Familiarity with Ontario Building Code and OHSA health and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or construction drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Supervisor in overseeing daily on-site construction activities to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks.
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to maintain schedule and resolve concerns.
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations.
• Keep detailed reports of material deliveries and labor attendance.
• Assist in scheduling, managing quality control, and addressing issues as they arise.
• Escalate on-site concerns to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager when necessary.
• Attend and participate in site meetings, taking notes and following up on action items as required.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that work aligns with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Support the Site Superintendent with site cleanliness, access control, and organization.
