Job Description

The Assistant Site Superintendent will support the site superintendent in managing the daily operations of construction projects. The role involves ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Ensure quality control of building construction.
2. Adhere to building codes and corporate safety requirements on all sites.
3. Maintain cleanliness and safety of construction sites, including garbage removal, snow clearing, sweeping, pressure washing, and ensuring safe and clean access (stairs, ramps, guardrails, sidewalks, driveways).
4. Perform deficiency repairs such as framing, minor taping, painting, hardware installation, cabinet and flooring touch-ups, window installation, door adjustments, stairs, and handrail installation.
5. Install and maintain temporary walkways, stairs, ramps, and handrails for site safety.
6. Conduct weekly hazard assessments and report safety issues promptly to the Site Superintendent and Safety Supervisor.
7. Assist with quality control checks on framing, insulation, foundation, and pre-occupancy inspections as per company standards.
8. Communicate with trades and suppliers via phone, email, or in person as instructed.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
