The House of Commons is seeking an Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms responsible for ensuring security within the parliamentary environment. This role entails acting as a first responder, managing client portfolios, and developing security protocols. Successful candidates will exhibit strong skills in risk management and possess required certifications, promoting a safe and compliant environment for Members of Parliament.
The House of Commons Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms and Corporate Security is currently looking to staff multiple positions of Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms.
This recruitment and selection process is restricted to employees of the Sergeant-at-Arms and Corporate Security Office.
In this role, you are an armed presence in the Chamber and act as a first responder in the absence of the Sergeant-at-Arms. Your understanding of security compliance, parliamentary proceedings, and protective measures is crucial in delivering expert security advisory services and service excellence to the House of Commons Administration, Members of Parliament, their staff, and parliamentary partners.
You will manage a portfolio of parliamentary clients and help develop customized protocols to improve security practices and procedures.
Your skills in risk management, security analysis, management, and interpersonal communication will help you deliver excellent service. You will collaborate with various partners across the organization, enhance security practices, and develop your knowledge of parliamentary operations. Your contributions will impact the safety of Members of Parliament and the organization.
