About the Role

Paladin Security is seeking an Assistant Security Site Supervisor to join our team at Mapleview Mall. In this role, you’ll support the Site Supervisor in overseeing day-to-day security operations, ensuring staff are carrying out duties effectively and maintaining a safe environment for tenants, patrons, and employees. You will also assume full responsibility for the site during shifts when the Site Supervisor is not present.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and supervise security operations across the property.
• Take full responsibility for site management during assigned shifts.
• Maintain safety, security, and comfort of all patrons and staff.
• Act as the main point of contact for mall management, emergency services, and on-duty staff.
• Ensure security staff are positioned appropriately and following post orders.
• Respond to and manage incidents, including theft, disturbances, medical emergencies, and fire alarms.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and conduct regular patrols.
• Oversee incident reporting and ensure reports are accurate and timely.
• Lead or assist with shift briefings, inspections, and emergency drills.
• Provide coaching and guidance to security staff to ensure professionalism.
• Enforce mall rules, property standards, and legislation such as the Trespass to Property Act.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License and First Aid CPR / AED certification
• Valid G-Class driver’s license with 3 years of clean abstract
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Minimum 2 years of security experience

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• 1+ years of supervisory experience in security, preferably retail or mall settings
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills under pressure
• Knowledge of emergency procedures, report writing, access control, and CCTV systems
• Post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Protection & Security, Criminology, or Border Services
