We are looking for an energetic and motivated Assistant Security Manager for a high-profile office tower site in Vancouver. This role involves maintaining the daily operation of the site schedule, leading, supervising, and mentoring a team. It offers a great opportunity for a supervisor seeking the next step in their career.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Providing first aid, CPR, and AED when required.
  • Ensuring all security/emergency systems (alarms, cameras, door access) are functioning, reporting deficiencies, and scheduling maintenance or repairs.
  • Managing access requests and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Monitoring CCTV and ensuring all cameras are operational daily.
  • Ensuring guards are properly trained, qualified, and uniformed.
  • Participating in Occupational Health & Safety meetings.
  • Maintaining optimal staffing levels.
  • Managing incident reporting systems.
  • Reviewing service levels with the Operations Manager and addressing client concerns.

Requirements:

  • Valid BC Security Worker License.
  • 2+ years of security experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Occupational First Aid II or III certification.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, and mentoring teams.
  • 4+ years of security industry experience.
  • Strong communication skills with empathy and active listening.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Relevant certifications like CPP are assets.
  • Post-secondary education in law enforcement or security is an asset.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Full-time availability with flexibility.
