Responsible to ensure overall security for buildings/properties in accordance with State and Federal laws and regulations and company policies, procedures, and standards

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• Manage daily functions of Security Department
• Establish policies, procedures, and training for Security Staff
• Develop and evaluate security procedures to ensure compliance with State and Federal Laws and Regulations and company policies, procedures, and standards
• Manage the development of security systems
• Evaluate the efficiency of systems and processes and make recommendations relating to security issues
• Develop, analyze and implement technical aspects of safety and accident policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records relating to incidents and investigations
• Manage alarm and key control systems
• Maintain an up-to-date emergency operating manual
• Lead in the development of emergency response plans
• Conduct routine investigations
• Respond to security issues and problems by implementing solutions and escalating matters accordingly
• Compile data and generate reports

IMPORTANT EDUCATION


• High School Diploma or GED

IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE


3+ years of experience working in the security field, preferably in a corporate office environment


ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
• CPR Certified
• Knowledge of electronic access control systems
• Knowledge of Security State and Federal Laws and Regulations
• Ability to maintain applicable licensing requirements
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license
• Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)


WORK ENVIRONMENT


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to travel from floor to floor, climb stairs, and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time; regularly use hands to operate office machinery and regularly required to walk, talk, and hear.
