About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Salesperson Manager to join our team. In this dual role, you will both actively sell funeral pre-planning services and provide leadership to our sales team across Saskatchewan (Saskatoon and Regina). The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal skills, sales acumen, and the ability to guide others with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Sales Management (50%)

  • Support the Sr. Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed company targets
  • Monitor sales team performance and provide regular feedback
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
  • Assist in setting individual and team sales goals
  • Collaborate with the management team to align sales objectives with company vision
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries and concerns with sensitivity and professionalism

Direct Selling (30%)

  • Actively sell funeral pre-planning services to prospective clients
  • Conduct presentations to explain the benefits of pre-planning to individuals and groups
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and community partners
  • Meet or exceed personal sales quotas and contribute to team goals
  • Document client interactions and maintain accurate records in Salesforce

Training & Development (10%)

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to sales representatives
  • Conduct regular training sessions on products, services, and sales techniques
  • Create and implement training materials specific to funeral pre-planning
  • Identify individual strengths and areas for improvement among team members
  • Facilitate role-playing exercises and scenario-based learning

Recruiting (10%)

  • Assist in identifying and recruiting sales talent
  • Participate in the interview process for new sales representatives
  • Help develop recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates
  • Contribute to onboarding programs for new team members
  • Promote a positive team culture that supports retention

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to complete the required provincial licensing
  • 3+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in funeral services or related industries
  • 1+ years of leadership, training, or mentoring experience
  • Strong understanding of consultative sales approaches
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to discuss sensitive topics with empathy and professionalism
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends
  • Travel between markets will be required (30%)

Preferred

  • Experience in funeral services, insurance, or estate planning
  • Sales management background
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Licensed and/or Familiarity with regulations related to funeral services within the province

Pay

  • $48,000.00 - $96,684.48 per year +
  • Bonus pay
  • Uncapped Commission pay
