Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Resort Manager to join our team at Parkbridge's Gallagher Lake Resort in Oliver, BC. This is a contract position until June 2026.

About The Role

The Assistant Resort Manager supports operations, staffing, budgeting, and planning at our picturesque RV and campground property. They serve as ambassadors of the Parkbridge brand and are central to our communities. This role offers mentorship and career growth opportunities, with many assistants promoted to Resort Managers.

This is a secondment contract until June 2026, involving managing annual operating and capital budgets, personnel, customer relations, retailer relations, community enhancement, and other property management duties.

Main Responsibilities

  • Solid management experience in hospitality or hotel industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Understanding of business financials and successful budget management
  • Ability to adapt to change, solve problems, and thrive under challenge
What You Will Be Doing
Customer Relations
  • Train staff in delivering exceptional customer service
  • Build brand recognition through service delivery
  • Ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for guests and staff
  • Conduct daily property tours
  • Address customer complaints promptly and personally
  • Collaborate with HR, H&S, Finance, IT, and other departments
Personnel Management
  • Assist in developing and mentoring staff
  • Build effective teams across departments
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff as needed
  • Ensure staff understand and adhere to resort standards and policies
  • Schedule and monitor shifts based on business needs
Resort Operations & Administration
  • Promote a customer-friendly business environment
  • Lead by example and foster teamwork
  • Enhance operational effectiveness and profitability
  • Support management policies and attend regional meetings
  • Maintain positive relationships with business partners
  • Manage mail, courier, and invoice coding
  • Prepare and monitor utilities and other spreadsheets
Financial
  • Assist in annual budget preparation
  • Record and track financial transactions
  • Oversee employee timekeeping and payroll
  • Generate client invoices
  • Provide timely, accurate reports to management
  • Procure goods and services following protocols
Health and Safety
  • Ensure safe and environmentally responsible activities
  • Maintain resort facilities in safe condition
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately
  • Train staff on safety procedures and equipment use

The annual base salary range for this role is $40,000 to $45,000. Actual salary depends on skills, experience, education, and market considerations. QuadReal offers a competitive total rewards package, including performance incentives, health & dental benefits, a pension plan, and paid time off.

Note: This role requires working weekends/holidays during the green season; winter weekends are generally not required.
