Work Location: 36 Burrows Road, Town of Pinawa
Position Type: Permanent, Unionized, 37.5 hours per week
Wage: $39.81/hr (Level 1)

The LGD of Pinawa is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Assistant Resident Administrator (equivalent to Assistant Chief Administrative Officer).
The LGD of Pinawa is a picturesque, planned, growing community of 1,558 on the shores of the Winnipeg River. Pinawa has year-round recreation and culture opportunities for residents of all ages. We are excited to offer this opportunity, which recently opened as a result of internal advancement within the organization.
The Assistant Resident Administrator must possess an understanding of, and work within the Municipal Act, Municipal policies and procedures and in compliance with LGD policies and by-laws. The Assistant Resident Administrator, under the general direction of the Resident Administrator, shall be responsible for the below duties.

Duties
•Directly assist the public with general inquiries and processing payments (over the phone, in-person and through email)
•Assist with preparation of material for all meetings of Council (reports, analysis, informational documents)
•Attend Council & Committee Meetings and produce the minutes
•Conduct research to prepare, certify, and implement various by-law and policies
•Respond to Planning inquiries using knowledge of the Development Plan and Zoning By-law
•Process and organize Planning Documents and Building/Zoning Permits
•Assist with managing duties, tasks and projects for the overall organization
•Work directly with all staff to ensure the cohesive operation of the LGD
•Work with tax and assessment rolls to process tax certificates, land title changes and tax sale files
•Complete reports and documents for other government agencies
•Research and complete grant applications for various projects
•Assist with Payroll when necessary
•Fill in for Resident Administrator in their absence
•Other duties as required

Requirements/Competencies
•Grade 12 education
•CMMA Certification is preferred
•An understanding of relevant municipal legislation, policies and procedures
•Computer skills, including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet and word-processing programs at a highly proficient level.
•Ability to exercise a reasonable degree of independent judgment while carrying out requirements of the position.
•Wage and position level advancement is dependent on direct municipal experience.
