Reporting to the Store Manager (or his/her delegate), the Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving incoming products, handling product returns, replacements, etc. This position also involves providing good service to vendors and staff, and maintaining the receiving equipment and workplace in good condition.

T&T Supermarket Inc., founded in 1993 with two stores in BC, has expanded to become Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The company plans to open more stores in the coming years.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Check the quantity, weight, and quality of products during receiving; process and sort related invoices and documents.
2. Assist Department Heads with product returns and replacements; manage shrinkage and examine obsolete items.
3. Follow procedures for in-store transfers.
4. Ensure receiving machinery, equipment, and tools are maintained and well-kept.
5. Keep receiving areas organized, clear, unblocked, and safe.
6. Control backdoor access and enforce relevant policies.
7. Greet vendors and staff with friendly service.
8. Work flexible shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays.
9. Stand for long periods and handle products, including lifting of up to 40 pounds regularly.
10. Possess basic computer skills in MS Office.
11. Hold a valid Fork Lift or Pallet Jack license.
12. Understand tools and equipment relevant to the job and interpret merchandise labels.
13. Communicate effectively.
14. Have knowledge of workplace health and safety.
