Job description

Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a fulltime/perm Assistant Quality Manager to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems and processes.

Location: Belleville, Ontario - on site

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control systems and documentation.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections; assist in external audit preparation.
  • Investigate quality issues and non-conformances; support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements.
  • Prepare quality metrics and reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in delivering training on quality standards, systems, and best practices.
  • Support supplier quality management including audits, assessments, and incoming inspection.
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the plant.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
  • Technologist/Technician Diploma in Engineering (required).
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation is an asset.
  • Proficient in quality management systems, metrology, inspection techniques, and quality tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
