Job description

We're Hiring: Assistant Program Manager - Sales

As an Assistant Program Manager – Sales at Rainbow Greenhouses, you’ll play a key role in driving the execution of our customer programs with precision, insight, and initiative. Working closely with the Program Manager, you will take ownership of data integrity, cross-functional coordination, and performance tracking for your assigned account(s).

This is not just a support role—you’ll be expected to engage deeply with performance metrics, spot issues before they become problems, and take an active role in ensuring our live goods programs run with excellence, on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day execution of assigned customer programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with product specs, pricing structures, logistics protocols, and merchandising standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including order accuracy, fill rates, on-time delivery, product availability, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Proactively identify trends and variances in weekly sales reports—share insights and suggest action plans to the Program Manager.
  • Process orders accurately and on schedule, flagging and resolving discrepancies in real time.
  • Ensure data integrity across pricing, discounts, SKUs, product configurations, and seasonal requirements.
  • Audit order flow and transaction reports regularly to minimize errors and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Act as a communication liaison between Sales and internal functions (Operations, Planning, Production, Logistics, Merchandising and Finance).
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure availability and readiness of product and materials.
  • Participate in program planning and post-season reviews—contribute data analysis and executional insights.
  • Prepare and review customer-facing materials including invoices, reports, presentations, product lists, and promotional content.
  • Track program budgets and spending in collaboration with the Program Manager, flagging potential overages or cost-saving opportunities.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

  • Are a self-starter who takes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what’s next
  • Enjoy working with data and use it to make informed, agile decisions
  • Are highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Love cross-functional teamwork and bringing clarity to complexity
  • Are comfortable navigating seasonal spikes and time-sensitive program needs
  • Are passionate about plants, merchandising, or the retail/garden space

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years in program management, sales support, retail operations, or horticulture-related field preferred
  • Proficient with Excel and ERP/CRM platforms; bonus points for experience with Power BI or data visualization tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally to customer or greenhouse sites if required

Compensation

Rainbow offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with education, experience and proven results ($40K-65K+ annually).

Benefits
• Extended health and dental care
• Disability insurance
• Employee assistance program
• Life insurance
• On-site parking
• Paid time off
• Matching RRSP program
• Product discount
