Mount Royal University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Business and Communications, starting July 1, 2024. The ideal candidate will engage in teaching, research, and community engagement, contributing to both General Management and Communications Studies departments with a supportive and diverse academic environment.
We invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2024. This position, cross-appointed between General Management and Communications Studies, requires an individual who can contribute through teaching, service, and/or research. Candidates are encouraged to review the MRFA collective agreement for details on cross-appointments.
The successful candidate will likely teach and develop curricula for two courses: MGMT3210: Business Communications and COMM4501: Roles and Practices in Contemporary Communications. Both involve practice-based teaching informed by theory. Applicants should highlight their qualifications and interests in these areas, including experience with community service learning and curriculum development. Experience in organizational storytelling and teaching communications beyond written word is valued.
