The Department of Biology at the University of Regina invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in animal physiology or plant/cyanobacteria physiology, commencing July 1, 2025, or a mutually agreed upon date.
We are seeking an individual who studies the physiology of animals or plants/cyanobacteria. Applicants using modern molecular, biochemical, genetic, epigenetic, and cellular tools to address fundamental questions at the organismal level are encouraged to apply.
The Department of Biology at the University of Regina has strong collaborative ties across the university, nationally, and internationally. The University of Regina holds a certificate of good animal practice from the Canadian Council of Animal Care with excellent facilities for housing and research using animals and has plant growth facilities.
Position Requirements: Candidates must have a PhD, a productive research record, and postdoctoral experience. Candidates will be evaluated on their prior excellence in research and training of highly qualified personnel at all levels as well as their future potential to establish an externally funded research program, attract graduate students, contribute to collegiality, and teaching excellence. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Biology at all levels, including their area of expertise.
