The Opportunity

We are recruiting one full‑time, fellowship‑trained head & neck cancer surgeon (Assistant Professor) skilled in:

• Complex ablative surgery
• Free‑tissue (microvascular) reconstruction
• Transoral robotic surgery (TORS)

Primary practice location: the new Winship Cancer Institute Tower on Emory University Hospital Midtown’s campus—an integrated facility purpose‑built for multidisciplinary cancer care.

What You Will Do

• Deliver patient‑centered oncologic care

Manage malignant and complex benign head & neck cases in concert with medical/radiation oncology, speech‑language pathology, oral surgery, nutrition, and social work.

• Advance a high‑volume reconstructive program

Help sustain our two‑flap‑per‑day schedule (Mon–Wed) and annual volume >210 free flaps without compromising quality or access.

• Mentor the next generation

Teach 25 otolaryngology residents and one AHNS‑accredited head & neck fellow, instilling excellence, professionalism, and team‑first values.

• Collaborate and innovate

Engage in clinical trials, outcomes research, or quality‑improvement projects supported by Winship’s research cores and the Department of Otolaryngology’s Quality Officer.

• Shape strategic growth

Partner with division leadership on initiatives such as expanding multidisciplinary services, shortening new‑patient wait times, and extending outreach clinics.

Minimum Qualifications

• MD/DO; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery
• Fellowship trained in Head & Neck Oncologic/Reconstructive Surgery

• Emerging or established national engagement and scholarly productivity
• Eligibility for unrestricted Georgia medical licensure and DEA registration
